Fall football frenzy

Fall football frenzy; are you tailgating? Watching the local high school team?

We have some great new products to make your party extra special. The brand new tub coolers are in and going out the door fast. They hold up to 60 cans and yet folds up to fit in a bag for easy carrying to the stadium.

Our 12 x 18 insulated carry-totes have both hot and cold sides to keep treats game ready. Plus other insulated cooler tote bags, blanket totes, and wine duffles in your team’s colors.

The list of items goes on for the tailgating needs – cheeseboards, towels, and even monogrammed paper napkins.

We also have a selection of Tervis tumblers in all your favorite college teams – Grand Valley University, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Michigan State University and University of Michigan.

Plus arriving late October is our 2011 Vintage College Football Calendars. Each month features an authentic game-day program cover from the 1920s – 1960s. We’ll be getting in Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama and the list goes on. If you wish to get on the waiting list contact us or if you want to see a sample stop by the store.

We have a collection of Yellow Jacket team sportswear, bags and a few odd goodies to showcase Jacket Pride.

Another way to show your team spirit is with our ‘Tell Your Story’ jewelry. Silver, leather or pearl necklaces/bracelets with your team colors in a crystal charm. Then add a silver charm for your sport (golf, football, volleyball, basketball, yellow jacket). And don’t forget to add your initial.

Now that I’ve updated you with all our new items, it is off to the game. Good luck to your team and to mine!

First Weekend of October

The first true weekend of fall is here. Time to celebrate the change of seasons! Over the next few weeks I will share some fun ideas, activities and a few new products.

Let’s enjoy this weekend with some fun fall activities; take a walk, pick some apples or pumpkins, go on a hayride or plan for Halloween. If the weather is nice, I’m planning on a walk along the bike trail. (I love to scuff my feet as I walk and listen to the leaves rustle.) I’ll take one of our recycled water bottle bags to pick up some beautiful leaves.I have family and friends that live in warm climates where the trees don’t turn colors so I’ll send them a few to enjoy.

Just bring the leaves home and press them in the phone book. They will be dry in a few days to tuck into a note or a box along with a few apples.

Or maybe if I have a little more time I’ll do a childhood craft project. You know the one where you take the pressed leaves and put them between two pieces of wax paper with a few crayon shavings then press with a warm iron to melt the crayon shavings. (Don’t forget to cover the paper with an old dishtowel to protect your iron.) These can then be cut into shapes, punch a hole in them and hang them in the windows. Remember this fun project in first grade?

However you enjoy the weekend please take time to enjoy the leaves.
